WATCH: Steve Bannon discusses tactics of the culture war with Jack Posobiec

"Young people have to be involved. "Young people have to understand that they have not just a stake; they have the stake in this turnaround from this 40- or 50-year decline of the Judeo-Christian West."

With the new year around the corner, The War Room's Steve Bannon discussed with Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec how today's conservatives and pro-freedom fighters can turn the tide in the rising culture war.

In the latest episode of the Human Events Daily podcast, Bannon joined Posobiec in an exclusive interview marking the inaugural Human Events national strategy session for the populist-conservative movement as America enters 2022.

"The question that I have is: How did we get to where we are?" Posobiec posed the question. "How did we arrive at this moment and then what do we do? Because you hear the one side. And it's all manage decline...We are the empire in decline. We are the system in decline. The regime is just there to manage this down..."

Posobiec further asked Bannon during the one-on-one: "Or is there is a possibilty for the people of this country—the people who love freedom and embrace freedom around the world—to actually stand up and say, 'No, we don't wanna go into that dark night. And if so, what does it look like?' And it is a bigger question. So I thought: I couldn't think of a bigger thinker on these types of things."

"Young people have to be involved. Young people have to understand that they have not just a stake; they have the stake in this turnaround from this 40- or 50-year decline of the Judeo-Christian West. We are in managed decline. We're about to go into unmaganged decline. Managed decline has been bad enough," Bannon answered Posobiec, pointing to the state of affairs under the Biden administration.

"We are about to go into free fall decline," Bannon continued the conversation. "What's going to turn it around are patriots and sovereigntists...And it's going to be led by young people. I keep saying young people are the new Greatest Generation."

Bannon said that the reason for the managed decline is, since World War II or the early and mid-1960s, "because we lost confidence in our underlying values."

"Divine providence works in mysterious ways. It was providential that the election got stolen on Nov. 3 like it was providential Trump won in 2016," Bannon pivoted. "Because now the mask is off," Bannon quipped, stating the American public has witnessed the globalists "in business with the Chinese Communist Party," the struggle sessions, cultural Marxism in modern-day society, rampant atheism, and "the absolute disregard for sovereignty" at America's southern border with Mexico.

Bannon told Posobiec that the political parties are ultra-polarized to the point that "you can't be in the middle anymore. You got to be on one side or the other...You either have to be with us or you have to be with the other side."

Posobiec quoted The Post Millennial's editor-in-chief Libby Emmons when she appeared on podcaster Tim Pool's show: "It used to be that we all had the same goal. We just had different ideas about how to get there. But now it seems that only one side still has that original goal and the other side has a completely separate goal in mind." To which, Bannon agreed. "It's no doubt," Bannon added.

"These are two totally different world view. First off, our world view is not just religious. It's based upon the understanding of man as a spiritual being and man as endowed with the Holy Spirit. That's not the other side. The other side is completely materialistic, totally atheistic, [and] only believes in the here-and-now. All of their efforts, meanness, and anger is driven by that," Bannon elucidated.

Posobiec noted how family formation is delayed among millennials, naming shows like Sex and the City that promote "girl boss culture" and tell viewers, "Go have your career. Go live your life. Go have fun." But the creator of Sex and the City, author Candace Bushnell, has admitted regret for prioritizing career over family.

He went on to describe how young professionals are now saddled with student debt after enrolling in fancy finishing schools. "At least here, I'm in my cocoon. I'm safe..." Posobiec parodied. "But I do see though so much depression going on in that group. I see so many people just realizing they were given this dream—they were given this ideal of 'Hey, you follow this path and then you'll be successful.' And they're realizing that the window is closing. The window for all of those things that were gonna happen—it would have happened by now," Posobiec said.

Bannon said the Framers of the Constitution would be "revolted" at America's deterioration. "This is not what they fought the American Revolution for."

Posobiec touted Turning Point USA's successful AmericaFest held in Phoenix, Arizona, mid-month that was attended by Zoomers, college-aged activists, and high school students at the standing-room only conservative event.

"They thirst for this," Bannon stated, citing "fire-breathing, anti-establishment populist nationalists" such as Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and Fox News personality Tucker Carlson that aren't "classic Republicans."

Bannon said a 10,000-person cadre at AmFest that's "informed, motivated, and using its agency can change the world and it is changing the world."

"All you need is a vanguard...Look, Christ started with 12 [disciples]. Remember, he started with 12 [apostles] that nobody really showed up at the crucifixion...but Christ changed history with just a handful of people," Bannon mentioned.

A piece of advice Bannon offered to conservative activists: "You wanna leave it all on the field. We have the people at AmFest and other people that are galvanizing around these concepts. If you completely dedicate yourself, make it an immerse experience, and commit that you're gonna leave it all on the field—first off, you're gonan feel this great surge of energy and say, 'Hey I have task and I have purpose'—and if you leave it all on the field, we're gonna win this thing. But that's the only way...This is going to take a lot of action over a sustained period of time..."

Posobiec recalled that a group of nominated Turning Point ambassadors had asked, "What do we do to affect culture?" Posobiec answered, "It's so clear: Embrace life in its fullness, in its richness. Live life to its fullest..."

"Look, you don't have to be on Twitter and Gettr, and everything else, a hundred hours a day like I am. But if you're out there. You're living your life. You're living that traditional role. You are standing up. You are finding your purpose. You are finding that task. You are fighting this thing. And you just show. You just be a beacon. You be that beacon in that world when there's so much darkness," he said, naming vocations including parenthood, priesthood, and truthtelling.
