The weekly protest to end the COVID-19 lockdown was once again held in downtown Toronto.
Hundreds gathered in the streets Saturday to stand against the mandates. Following the announcement that Canada lost 63,000 jobs in December, many expressed renewed concern for the economy.

“I think the job loss is a sign of total economic collapse on the scale of Venezuela. How does anyone think the government can keep paying people not to work?” Jane Wilson said.
Jonathan was worried about the growing divide between rich and poor. “Inequality used to be the biggest issue in the world, but now that Jeff Bezos has tripled his wealth and the average waitress is out of work, nobody talks about it.”

Jonathan also criticized the growing number of politicians who have been exposed traveling overseas while they tell us to stay home. “If they don’t believe in their bogus rules, why should we?”
Alfred Lawrence said “I think they’re hypocritical,” adding “they’re doing what they want to do. If they want to travel, then they’ll travel.”
