“In the Home Hardware on Saint-Laurent Street."
“In the Home Hardware on Saint-Laurent Street,” Trudeau says in the video. Perry and Trudeau were romantically linked after being seen together in Montreal in July 2025, including during a dinner at a restaurant in the city’s Plateau neighborhood.
Perry has also developed a relationship with Xav, who has previously said he seeks the pop star's advice about his music.
The video also comes as Canada’s economy has shown signs of weakness, thanks largely to the decade of Trudeau. Statistics Canada reported that GDP was flat in the first quarter of 2026, following a 0.2 percent contraction in the final quarter of 2025.
The video also comes as Perry is the subject of an ongoing police investigation in Australia following allegations made by actress Ruby Rose concerning an alleged 2010 sexual assault in Melbourne.
Victoria Police confirmed in April that detectives were investigating a “historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010.” Police did not name Perry or Rose and said the alleged incident took place at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s central business district. Rose made the allegation in a since-deleted Threads post responding to a Complex Music post about Perry’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance.
“Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks,” Rose wrote.
Perry has denied the allegation. Her representative called the claims “categorically false” and described them as “dangerous reckless lies.” Rose later said she had finalized reports with police and could no longer publicly discuss the case.
