That is why I'm also asking you to end deadly sanctuary cities that protect the criminals and enact serious penalties for public officials who block the removal of criminal aliens, in many cases, drug lords, murderers all over our country. They're blocking the removal of these people out of our country, and you should be ashamed of yourself." Trump said to the Democrats after they did not stand up when he spoke about Americans victimized by illegal immigrant criminals.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) yelled at Trump in response to the point. He called out the Democrats during the speech after he spoke about multiple different victims of crimes that were committed by criminal illegal immigrants.
One victim he mentioned and recognized was Delilah Colden, who he said "was only five years old in June 2024 when an 18-wheel tractor trailer plowed into her stopped car traveling at 60 miles an hour or more. The driver was an illegal alien let in by Joe Biden and given a commercial driver's license by open borders."
"Politicians in California, doctors said Delilah would never be able to walk or talk. Have a good life. She wouldn't even be able to eat again. But against all odds, she is now in the first-grade learning to walk, and she's here this evening with her dad, Marcus," he added, then invited them to stand up.
He also mentioned the death of Lizbeth Medina, who "was supposed to perform in her town's Christmas parade, but she never arrived. Her mother and Jacqueline went home to look for her, and she found her lying dead in a bathtub, bleeding profusely after being stabbed 25 times," Trump said. The killer in the case was a criminal illegal immigrant.
"Her heartbroken mother is in the gallery to remind everyone in this chamber exactly why we are deporting illegal alien criminals our country at record numbers, and we're getting them the hell out of here fast," he added.
