The violence occurred between 6 pm on Friday and 11:59 pm on Sunday according to police data released on Monday morning viewed by Fox News.
There were 20 reported shooting incidents across the city, which included 4 juvenile victims and at least 5 deaths.
Among the murder victims was a 15-year-old boy who was found early Sunday morning with a gunshot wound to the head after what witnesses described as a drive-by shooting.
Shortly after the teen was found, a 30-year-old man shot in the chest died from his injuries during a physical altercation that left 3 other people wounded.
Other murders include a 44-year-old man shot in an alley on Friday night, a 36-year-old man shot multiple times in his car by a gunman in another vehicle on Saturday afternoon, and a male victim of unknown age shot in the chest on Sunday afternoon.
An off-duty Merrionette Park police officer was shot while driving her car by a gunman in a white Chevy sedan. During the late-afternoon incident, the Chevy driver opened fire on the officer before crashing into another car.
The 51-year-old off-duty officer stopped and announced that she was an officer before further gunfire was exchanged with the suspect. The officer was shot in the neck and was rushed to the hospital in stable condition.
A 43-year-old male bystander was also struck by gunfire in both of his legs. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Two out of three occupants of the vehicle that was struck by the suspect's car were also treated in the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The gunman managed to escape on foot, but a second occupant of the vehicle was taken into custody at the scene.
Chicago has seen a major uptick in crime in recent years, with many republicans blaming Mayor Lori Lightfoot for the increase.
