"We're talking about an individual who ordered essentially a terrorist attack on the capitol of the United States in order to retain power," AOC claimed.
The false claims were made during an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union" with host Jake Tapper.
Tapper mentioned Trump's many criminal indictments by Biden's weaponized Department of Justice and asked the congresswoman, "What do you say to a voter who says, 'Well that doesn't look like he's being treated equally before the law, that looks like somebody that the government is going after.'"
AOC responded, "This is not about party. This is not about politics. This is about corruption and criminality. We're talking about an individual who ordered essentially a terrorist attack on the Capitol of the United States in order to retain power."
"That is not about being a Republican. It is not about being a Democrat," she continued. "It's about being an unethical individual, an individual who is subject and prone to criminality."
"And unfortunately, this is the state that we're in. And I actually think that the fact that it's happening in so many places and so many jurisdictions cuts in the face of that," said AOC.
AOC's remarks come as Donald Trump, who became the official Republican nominee for president earlier this month, has seen an increase in polls each time he gets targeted by either Biden's Justice Department or Democrat attorneys general across the nation.
Trump has been criminally indicted on more than 91 charges by the federal government since leaving the White House in 2021. Surveys show that voters have lost faith in the criminal justice system and believe Trump has been unfairly targeted by Biden's DOJ.
