Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has claimed that a pro-Israel advocacy group targeted her and other female representatives when it posted online, "A ceasefire now keeps these rapist monsters armed and in power in Gaza," tagging AOC and others. The representative highlighted her own sexual assault instead to attack the organization.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) made a post online critical of the policies that AOC and other Democrats have called for a ceasefire in response to the Israel-Hamas war that started with the Oct. 7 attacks. The organization also tagged AOC and other representatives in the post.

"A ceasefire now keeps these rapist monsters armed and in power in Gaza," the AIPAC posted online.

AOC quoted the post and then wrote that the organization was "targeting women members of Congress who have survived sexual assault with [the] horrific rhetoric" the organization used.

The representative from New York City has before brought up how she has been sexually assaulted when discussing political topics. She talked about the incident during the time when protestors went into the Capitol on Jan. 6. She has brought it up multiple times when Jan. 6 is brought up.

The post from the AIPAC came from a response to recent reports showing that Israeli women were raped in front of their families on Oct. 7. In addition, rape victims reportedly had knives as well as grenades shoved into their genitals. Witnesses described that the victims were executed and gang raped in front of family members on the day of the attack.

According to the new revelations of Oct. 7, “Many cases involve heinous attacks on women and girls, including a case of hiding a knife in a genital organ. The brutal practices used on October 7, such as genital mutilation of girls, women, and men, shooting, and weapon insertion, were designed to destroy and inflict sadistic terror."

The report summarized its findings, saying, “Analysis of the data reveals that sexual and gender-based violence systematically occurred in all arenas where the Oct 7th massacre occurred, as well as in captivity."
