Hundreds of illegal immigrants are being kept in a caged outdoor pen in record-breaking Arizona heat as President Biden's immigration crisis continues to worsen, which Democrat lawmakers slammed during Trump's presidency but have remained quiet under Biden's.

Video footage taken at the Ajo, Arizona sector of the US/Mexico border on Wednesday shows hundreds of illegal immigrants packed like sardines confined in a fenced-off area after being taken into custody by Border Patrol waiting to be processed.

Ajo, which is one of the most dangerous areas along the Arizona border, has seen a massive increase in illegal crossings during an ongoing deadly heatwave over the past month, which has prompted US Customs and Border Patrol to increase personnel and transportation resources, according to CNN.

A spokesperson for US Customs and Border Patrol said in a statement: "Border Patrol has prioritized the quick transporting of noncitizens encountered in this desert environment, which is particularly dangerous during current weather conditions, to USBP facilities where individuals can receive medical care, food, and water."

Only adult males are reportedly confined outside; women, kids, and those in vulnerable groups are kept inside the station. Border Patrol says they are being given water and food, and that there is a canopy overhead to provide shade.

Border Patrol, which is currently overwhelmed, warns that its station cannot provide accommodations due to the "historic trend" they are seeing in illegal crossings in Ajo. The agency says that the remote location just two hours from Tuscon is "the hottest, most isolated, and dangerous area of the southwest border."

"The Ajo Border Patrol Station is not equipped to hold a large number of migrants due to historic trends in this area," the agency's spokesperson said.

The illegal immigrants crossing through Ajo are being "callously" sent by human smuggling organizations, according to Border Patrol, who says that they are being forced to walk for miles with "little or no water."

While former President Donald Trump was lambasted by Democrat lawmakers for "keeping kids in cages" as his administration worked to solve the illegal immigration crisis, there has been no reported outrage from the lawmakers that slammed Trump. This as the border crisis continues to worsen at the hands of Democrat President Biden's open border policies, which have created inhumane conditions for the migrants they claim to be protecting.

Under Biden's leadership, a historic amount of illegal immigrants have flooded through the US/Mexico border, overwhelming its surrounding towns, impacting cities across the United States, and overwhelming US Customs and Border Patrol.

Arizona has been hit hard over the past few months. Last week, more than 300 mostly West African immigrants illegally entered the United States through the border wall near Lukeville, Arizona, which Border Patrol described as a daily occurrence,  according to Breitbart News.
