Republican Brandon Gill has won his bid to represent the 26th Congressional District of Texas in the House of Representatives. The son-in-law of conservative author and pundit Dinesh D’Souza has a constituency that begins in the Dallas suburbs and goes to the rural Oklahoma border. Gill defeated his Democratic challenger with 63 percent of the vote as of late Tuesday night.

"It's my greatest honor and privilege to have earned the trust of Texans who call the 26th District home," Gill said in a statement. "Thank you to our community for your patriotism and your votes, to President Trump for his endorsement, and to my beautiful wife Danielle for her support. I look forward to representing the people of Texas 26 in Washington, fighting the DC swamp, and defending the freedoms we all hold dear.

"We have a lot of work to do. We must seal the southern border and deport the illegal aliens inundating our communities, balance our federal budget and demolish the woke and weaponized administrative bureaucracy."

Former President Donald Trump endorsed Gill’s candidacy to replace his retiring Republican predecessor. "It is my great honor to ENDORSE Brandon Gill for U.S. Congress in Texas-26. He is the clear 'America First' candidate, and is as loyal and tough as they come," Trump wrote. "He’s a Cowboy, Businessman, Husband and Father, but also, a True Patriot. Brandon is Strong on SECURING OUR BORDER, STOPPING CRIME, FIGHTING INFLATION, & PROTECTING OUR SECOND AMENDMENT. He also comes with the love and respect of his father-in-law, a true warrior, Dinesh D’Souza. Brandon will not let you down. Onward to VICTORY!"

Gill also received an endorsement from fellow Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who said "Brandon Gill has all the best characteristics of a Texan: Dedicated, hardworking, and resilient."

Gill announced his candidacy in November 2023, explaining that "We desperately need conservative warriors in Washington who represent real America, not the Swamp. I look forward to representing the great people of North Texas."

"With a deep-rooted commitment to service and a background reflecting the true essence of the American Dream, Brandon will be a relentless conservative warrior fighting against the Biden Administration and the DC Establishment," a news release stated.
