Kwan and Doyle had launched a petition to remove Professor Mark Bray, author of Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, from his university position due to his ties to the group.
Jack Posobiec brought Rutgers Turning Point USA officer Ava Kwan on stage at a packed rally in Bergen, New Jersey, after the university launched an investigation into her and her chapter for exposing an Antifa-linked professor who has since fled to the country. The Bergen rally was for New Jersey GOP gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli.
“I'm proud to bring on stage Ava Kwan from TPUSA Rutgers University,” Posobiec posted to X. The event had more than 1,000 attendees. “Rutgers put her under investigation for exposing Dr. Antifa. She’s not gonna back down, we’re not gonna back down, and New Jersey is not gonna back down. Look at her—she’s so terrifying," Posobiec told the crowd. "They said that she’s the one that terrified a professor to have to run all the way to Europe. Ava, tell us a few words of what’s going on since this professor and now the entire university has targeted you and your chapter.”
“When we came out with our petition we got immense hate from students of the school,” Kwan said. “Megyn and I, who created the petition, were both sent threatening messages. I was doxed, they found my mother’s cell phone number and were sending it around. It’s been awful, and now, the school has started the investigation on our chapter stating that Megyn and I, who created the petition, are no longer eligible to hold our positions at Turning Point.”
The university’s investigation comes after an email from Rutgers Director for Student Involvement Karima Woodyard, who told TPUSA’s chapter leadership that both Kwan and fellow TPUSA officer Megyn Doyle were ineligible to serve on the executive board. Woodyard cited a technical rule stating that the organization is “classified as an undergraduate student organization for the New Brunswick campus,” and claimed that Kwan, a graduate student, and Doyle, a Newark student, did not meet the criteria. Woodyard uses her position within the university "to create inclusive and meaningful opportunities for students."
Kwan and Doyle had launched a petition earlier this month to remove Professor Mark Bray, author of Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, from his university position due to his ties to Antifa. Bray, who pledged proceeds from his book to Antifa groups, is affiliated with the Black Rose Anarchist Federation and was previously involved in the G20 protests in Germany and Occupy Wall Street. He has since fled to Spain.
