Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson has died at the age of 65-years-old. Henderson was the all-time stolen base leader in the league during his time.

The New York Post reported that Henderson died near Oakland, California after battling a case of pneumonia.

One user wrote, "Brother. My condolences. He was one of my favorites, like you. Rest in peace 24!" Another responded to Winfield's post, saying, "God’s grace and peace to Rickey’s family and to his friends like you."

"Rickey Henderson was a dream to hit behind as [a] teammate and a nightmare for a catcher as an opponent. He was one of the most generous, hysterical and gracious human beings..He will be sorely missed..Prayers for his soul and family," Mike Piazza, a player who was on the Mets with Henderson for two seasons, wrote in a post on X.

Henderson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009 after he ended his career in 2003.
