Ontario Liberal leader Steven Del Duca lost his own riding of Vaughan-Woodbridge in Thursday's provincial election, a source has told The Post Millennial.

Del Duca's loss comes as the Ontario Progressive Conservatives clean up in much of the province, securing another majority.

According to a Liberal Party strategist told supporters at the HQ moments ago that the Liberals are merely in the position to "form a party in the Ontario legislature," according to Global News reporter Colin D'Mello.

As of the time of publishing, the Liberals are projected to win just seven seats. The Tories are set to win 53, while the Horwath New Democrats are set to win 22. The Green leader Mike Schreiner is set to win his riding in Guelph.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
