On his Truth Social profile on Friday, former President Donald Trump, in light of the recent federal indictments, declared, “If you go after me, I’m coming after you!”

The post comes after he was indicted by Special Counsel Jack Smith for a second time, this time on "conspiracy" charges.

In a presser on Wednesday, Smith announced the latest charges against Trump and said that Jan. 6 was “fueled by lies” and that Trump will be held “criminally responsible" for his actions. He characterized Jan. 6 as an "unprecedented assault on the seat of American democracy

In a post leading up to the declaration from Trump, he posted a campaign video with a montage of clips suggesting the corruption of President Joe Biden and his administration.

It included reports about corruption between the Biden family and the Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma. NYC prosecutor Alvin Bragg, Counsel Smith, Attorney General Letitia James, and District Attorney Fani Willis are also mentioned.

Trump labeled the judicial figures and Biden as part of the “fraud squad” that is trying to take him down with legal battles prior to the election.

Trump arrived in Washington DC for arraignment on Thursday and went before Magistrate Judge Moxila A. Upadhyaya. Trump pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction, and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted.

Upadhyaya threatened Trump to be held pending trial if he violates any conditions of the trial.

These conditions included that Trump "must not violate federal or state laws; he must appear in court as required; he must sign an appearance bond; and he must not communicate about the facts of the case with anyone Trump knows to be a witness, except through counsel or in presence of counsel."
