Toronto Police arrested multiple peaceful protesters, including a student who was violently assaulted by Antifa.
Video footage shows a large group of black-clad Antifa militants physically assault peaceful protesters and members of the press.
The "Education over Indoctrination" event, which was organized by Billboard Chris and Josh Alexander to protest against radical gender ideology and LGBTQ indoctrination happening in Canadian classrooms, kicked off around 11 am at Victoria Park College Institute and Annunciation Catholic School.
Hundreds of individuals convened outside of these two adjacent schools to make their voices heard when Antifa and other far-left agitators arrived to violently disrupt the event in a militant-like fashion. They immediately started assaulting people who were peacefully protesting in the crowd, which included students, parents, and veterans.
Nick Alexander, a 16-year-old student at Annunciation Catholic School, who is the brother of event organizer Josh Alexander, was left bloodied after being violently beaten by a black-clad member of Antifa who had his identity concealed behind a mask.
Video footage captured by Rebel News journalist Kian Simone shows law enforcement arresting the Antifa militant who allegedly attacked Alexander. He was unmasked during the arrest and is an adult male.
However, Alexander was also reportedly detained by Toronto police and was taken out of the protest where he was allegedly held by authorities in a law enforcement van. According to a witness, the Antifa militant robbed Alexander by stealing his hat and attacked the young student when Alexander attempted to get it back.
As tensions between the two groups escalated, more acts of physical violence were carried out by members of Antifa.
According to journalist Mocha Bezirgan, Antifa militants attacked him while he was trying to report on a man getting beaten up by the far-left extremists. Video shows the peaceful protesters getting mobbed and assaulted by the militant group.
"Fascists attacked me for trying to record them beating up a man. This is not the first time this has happened. All Canadians who believe in freedom of the press and right to peaceful protest should condemn the violent acts of intimidation by 'ANTIFA,'" Bezirgan said on X.
Toronto Police were lambasted by reporters and individuals participating in the protest for their actions during the event, in which they made multiple arrests of attendees protesting peacefully.
"Toronto Police arrests man who was attacked by 'antifa' earlier. 'They’re impeding on my right to free assembly!' The man yells in pain. This was the same guy I was recording for being attacked by 'antifa' which led them to attack me as well," Bezirgan reported.
Before that man was arrested by police, he told officers: "If we do not have the right to free assembly today, please arrest me."
While speaking on Alexander's arrest, Josh Alexander called out the "disgusting" Toronto Police Department for arresting a victim of assault.
"My brother by blood and my brother in Christ is sharing the gospel with the @TPSOperations as they arrest him for being the victim of an assault. Canada's unions are disgusting," Josh Alexander wrote on X with an attached photo of his brother bleeding from the head.
Police refused to allow Josh Alexander to get to his brother Nick after he was assaulted by the far-left extremists, video shows.
A veteran who had reportedly been peacefully protesting was also arrested by Toronto Police and removed from the event, according to video.
Chris Elston, also known as "Billboard Chris," told The Post Millennial that he helped organize the event to "create awareness about what I consider to be the greatest child abuse scandal in modern medicine history."
Elston slammed Toronto Police for their actions during the event and said: "What are we doing arresting people who are getting punched? Everything is upside down."
Josh Alexander also slammed Toronto Police for arresting his brother who was the victim of a violent assault. According to Alexander, they initially denied Nick, who was significantly bleeding from the head, medical treatment and threw him into a paddy wagon before transporting him to the nearest department.
"It's easier for the police to arrest the two people that are victims rather than the entire crowd of perverted and corrupted unions," Alexander told TPM.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
