Canada Post will be delivering parcels on Sundays, reports K100 radio. The company is experiencing an increase in orders and delivering a similar amount of parcels as they do during the Christmas season. They say delays are to be expected for deliveries.

Trudy Costello, the manager at the post office branch in Saint John and Kevin Suttie, president of CUPW announced that postal workers will now be delivering parcels on Sunday afternoons from noon to 6.

It was a month ago that Canada Post announced that people would no longer be required to sign for packages at their front doors and that hours would be reduced. This was to enhance safety measures for both postal workers and customers. At this time, the postal service suspended guaranteed shipment dates.

Postal workers are considered essential employees, and have also asked dog owners to keep their animals at bay in order to keep up social distancing measures.
