CBS News is set to add popular podcaster and Stanford professor Andrew Huberman as a contributor as part of a broader editorial shift under editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, according to reports from Axios.

Weiss was expected to announce a roster of new contributors during an all-hands meeting with staff on Tuesday, as she moves to reshape the struggling network following months of low ratings and internal criticism.

Among the additions is Andrew Huberman, host of the widely followed Huberman Lab podcast, which focuses on health, fitness, and neuroscience. Historian Niall Ferguson, New York chef Clare de Boer, and youth culture journalist Casey Lewis were also named as additions.

Huberman, a Stanford neurobiology professor, has built a massive online audience by promoting wellness-focused advice centered on diet, exercise, sleep, and hormone optimization. His following includes millions of subscribers across YouTube and social media, with many of his listeners aligning with the MAHA movement, “Make America Healthy Again.”

At CBS News, Huberman is expected to join longtime contributor Mark Hyman, a close associate of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and a prominent advocate of MAHA health policies.

The changes come as CBS News continues to face scrutiny over its editorial direction. Weiss previously pulled a 60 Minutes segment critical of President Trump’s deportation policy shortly before it aired, citing the need for additional reporting. The segment later ran without major changes.

Huberman’s appointment has some criticism from some mainstream media and elitist academic figures who argue that he has oversimplified or misrepresented scientific research on his podcast. He has also publicly said he does not receive flu shots
