"He wasn't wrong about some of these critical issues and that's why they're voting for him," said Dimon.

The CEO of JP Morgan Chase Bank, Jamie Dimon, said people are voting for former President Donald J. Trump because of his policies surrounding critical issues such as the economy, illegal immigration, and foreign adversaries.

Dimon made the comments on Wednesday while appearing on CNBC News at the World Economic Forum (WEF).

"I think it's a mistake to assume that everyone is hunky dory. We are facing a lot of things in '24, or '25," said Dimon.

"I wish the Democrats would think a little more carefully when they talk about MAGA," he continued. "When people say 'MAGA' they're actually looking at people voting for Trump and they're basically scapegoating them that 'You are like him.'"

"I don't think they're voting for Trump because of his family values. He's kind of right about NATO, kind of right about immigration. He grew the economy quite well. Tax reform worked. He was right about stuff with China," Dimon explained.

"He wasn't wrong about some of these critical issues and that's why they're voting for him," said Dimon.

Former Republican President Donald J. Trump, who has emerged as the clear frontrunner in the GOP presidential primary election, has touted his former administration's policies in the many speeches he has given within the past year while on the campaign trial.

The former president has vowed to re-enact strict Trump-era immigration policies to contain the historic invasion of illegal immigrants at the US-Southern border. This includes mass deportations and travel bans from terror-stricken countries, according to Trump.

While on the campaign trail, Trump has also pledged to prevent the escalation of foreign adversaries, including China, by his ability to use "peace through strength." He also asserted that he would re-impose strong tariffs on China and other economic powerhouses.

Donald Trump is inching closer to securing his bid to become the Republican presidential nominee. He's in a good position to do so, according to analysts, after Monday night's historic landslide victory in the Iowa Caucus.
