A CNN article attempts to paint the Trump-Vance campaign as bullies for insisting that Kamala Harris hold a major media interview, a press conference, or at any point take questions from the press. In so doing, the outlet admits that Harris is "vulnerable" when she is unscripted and expected to deliver candid answers.

The candidate, who has not taken a single press question since ousting Joe Biden from the top of the Dem ticket, has also not posted a policy platform on her campaign website. It's unclear what she stands for other than "joy," as her running mate Tim Walz said, "the future," as she keeps insisting, and the ever amorphous "democracy."

"In another front of its emerging offensive against Harris," CNN writes, "the Trump campaign cranked up pressure on the vice president to do a major media interview, apparently hoping to goad her into a forum in which she’s historically been more vulnerable than when delivering scripted speeches."

JD Vance brought this to stark attention on Wednesday when his campaign plane, Trump Force 2, encountered Kamala's campaign plane on the tarmac in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He saw a gaggle of reporters waiting to speak to Harris, who never came over to address them or take questions, and Vance took questions before heading off to give a campaign speech and take even more questions, for 20 minutes, after that speech.

"I think it’s really disgraceful, both for Kamala Harris but also for a lot of the American media that participates in this stuff, to have a person who has been the presumptive nominee of the Democrat Party for 17 days and refuses to take a single question from the American media," Vance said.

CNN admits that "Harris, especially early in her vice presidency, sometimes waffled in interviews and unscripted moments," but they blame Trump for noticing that, saying "the Trump campaign clearly sees this as a potential way to slow her strong start."

Many have echoed this, saying that it's disrespectful and downright bizarre for Harris to not address press, to not answer questions, and to run her whole campaign on vibes and feels and not policy or plans. Trump has given many interviews, not just to major outlets but to small ones and YouTube streamers. Vance, too, has given multiple interviews. Trump announced a press conference for Thursday at Mar-a-Lago.

A report on Thursday indicated that Kamala is getting her message across with the press so she has no need to hold a formal event to take questions. Apparently, she speaks to the reporters who travel with her, talking to them off-the-record at the back of the plane.
