The Democratic National Committee (DNC) lashed out in a memo on Friday in an attempt to dismiss the impact of a potential election race exit from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in 2024. The DNC labeled his supporters as “low propensity,” meaning they do not usually vote in elections. The DNC added that it still wanted to "educate voters about the clear choice between VP Harris and Donald Trump" if RFK Jr. drops out.

According to a report from The Hill, the DNC disseminated a memo in an attempt to show that RFK Jr. bowing out in the 2024 race would not impact the outcome of the election, as rumors have been swirling that he will drop out and endorse Donald Trump for the presidency.

“Like RFK Jr., Donald Trump is at a low point and acting out of desperation,” the DNC wrote in the memo. “Embracing RFK Jr. now – when he has nothing to offer but months of disqualifying revelations – is not a decision a campaign makes when they’re acting from a position of strength.”

“The little support that remains is soft, split across ideologies, and disproportionately among lower propensity voters. With no meaningful base of support and sky-high negatives among Democrats, RFK Jr.’s threat to VP Harris was neutralized,” the DNC memo continued.

The memo added that the DNC "continue to hold other third party candidates accountable and educate voters about the clear choice between VP Harris and Donald Trump." Multiple sources between both the Trump as well as the Kennedy campaigns have signaled that the third-party candidate will be dropping out on Friday to endorse Trump.

Earlier this week, Trump remarked that he's open to giving Kennedy a future role in the Trump administration and the two spoke over the phone during the Republican National Convention, where the topic of an endorsement was reportedly discussed.
