Denver Communists host training urging the recruitment of active military members to overthrow the government

"Our perspective is that we need to organize among the rank and file of the military, because the rank and file of the military have guns already ... and we call to organize them and say to turn their guns - instead of at us - towards their superiors."

A training from the Denver Communists has resurfaced showing the group advocating for getting members of the military on board and having them "turn their guns ... towards their superiors." Karyln Borysenko uncovered the training video.

"It would be completely utopian for us to think that we could overthrow the government without guns," said a male activist delivering the March 2023 Communist training on the video shared by Boysenko. "That would just be nonsense."

That acitivst added in the training on Maoism that "our perspective is that we need to organize among the rank and file of the military, because the rank and file of the military have guns already, and they don’t derive any material benefits from being in the military, and we call to organize them and say to turn their guns - instead of at us - towards their superiors."

He added that this "comes from the Russian Revolution, which, you know, the Russian army actually — the rank and file of the Russian army actually turned their guns on the commanders."

One previous flyer advertising the group stated, "Our general approach is to simply outnumber and outshine the far right anytime they try to assemble. We want to send these worms back into their holes, demoralized and isolated, by mobilizing the broadest social force against them."

The Denver Communists are closely linked with Antifa groups. At the October 10, 2020 "BLM-Antifa Soup Drive," a conservative demonstrator was fatally shot by private security for NBC News affiliate 9NEWS. The man was participating in a “Patriot Rally” of conservative Trump supporters, which the Denver Communists and other groups called a "fascist rally."

The group has also targeted The Post Millennial senior editor Andy Ngo, posting a photo of the 2019 attack on him by Antifa militants that left him with bleeding on the brain along with the text, "Far-Right Grifter," "Islamophobe," "Anti-Antifa," and "Milkshake," along with the line "Meet Andy Ngo at the Western Conservative Summit."

That 2021 conference saw Antifa groups break into violence outside and shut down roads.

The Denver Communists, alongside other local BLM and Antifa groups, participated in an event, titled "Western BLM-Antifa Summit," in which the groups underwent "two days of fiercely jubilant opposition to the Western Conservative Summit."
