Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lambton County have launched an investigation after they confiscated a shopping bag that contained 11 handguns, which was attached to a drone and was found stuck in a tree along the St. Clair River near the US border.

There is limited information being made available by police, though it is believed that the guns were being transported across the border illegally when it got caught in a tree near Port Lambton, Ontario.

The guns were seized after being recovered by the St. Clair Township fire department.
