House Speaker Mike Johnson will host detransitioner Chloe Cole as a guest of the Speaker to Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday evening.

Cole has been a vocal advocate against child sex change surgeries and drugs after beginning her own transition as a child. She realized that she would not turn into a male, and that she didn't want to, only after having gone through drugs and a double mastectomy, and began to detransition at the age of 16. She has spoken in states across the country against these procedures for children, and still suffers complications and side effects herself.

"I am honored to have been invited by Speaker Johnson to attend The State of The Union Address," Cole said. "It is crucial that we persist in our efforts to ensure the safety of children. I extend my deepest gratitude to Speaker Johnson for highlighting the experiences of detransitioners and the harms of gender ideology."

Johnson said of the invitation, "Chloe’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of the damage being done to America’s youth in the name of radical gender ideology. She knows first-hand the tragic effects a young child experiences after being coerced into transitioning, and has undertaken a noble mission of preventing other children from falling victim to this harmful practice. Chloe has become an incredible advocate for parents and families, and I am honored to have her join me as a guest at the State of the Union."

Cole testified before Congress in July at a hearing led by Johnson on the harmful effects of "gender-affirming care" for children.

Cole spoke on being put on puberty blockers and testosterone, and receiving a double mastectomy at the age of 15.

She testified that doctors had told her parents "that they could have a dead daughter or alive transgender son," and has spoken out about how her parents were also duped by the medical and mental health industry into believing that sex change was the right course of action for their daughter.

She explained that she wasn't suicidal at that point, however "at 16, after my surgery, I did become suicidal. I'm doing better now. My parents almost got the dead daughter promised to them by my doctors. My doctors had almost created the very nightmare they said they were trying to avoid."

"I didn't need to be lied to," Cole said. "I needed compassion. I needed to be loved. I needed to begin therapy to help me work through my issues, not affirming my delusion that by transforming into a boy, it would solve all my problems."

"We need to stop telling 12-year-olds that they're born wrong. That they are right to reject their own bodies and feel uncomfortable with their own skin," she stated. "We need to stop telling children that puberty is an option. That they can choose what kind of puberty they will go through, just as they can choose what clothes to wear, or what music to listen to. Puberty is a rite of passage to adulthood, not a disease to be mitigated."

During his opening remarks in the July 2023 hearing, Johnson spoke out against the trends of transgenderism and the lies that accompany the believe that sex change is possible. "Sex isn’t something you are assigned at birth. It is a prenatal development that occurs when every unborn child is in its mother’s womb. You can’t surgically free yourself, or someone else, from this fact of life," he said.

"However, we see adults inflicting harm on helpless children to affirm their world view: that is, that gender is fluid, sex can be surgically altered, and that there are no lasting consequences as a result of these gender transition procedures," Johnson said of the dangerous practice of sex changes for minors.

"The reach of radical sexual identity politics isn’t limited to young children. We see this extended to young adults—especially at the university level… Today, nearly one in four high school students identifies as LGBTQ.  Whether it’s by scalpel or by social coercion from teachers, professors, administrators, and left-wing media, it’s an attempt to transition the young people of our country," Johnson said.

Joe Biden has hosted trans advocates and activists at the White House, who have told him how important it is to provide sex changes for minors. This is a message he has pushed on the American people. On the Transgender Day of Remembrance in 2022, one of the myriad gender holidays on the calendar lately, Biden told American parents "affirm your kids." This, also, is the position of the Democrat Party, which seeks to advance trans, non-binary and LGBTQ inclusion across the federal government through agencies that reach into states to demand compliance with those policies.

"Something has gone terribly wrong and today we hope to shed light on what that is and how we can address the problem," Johnson said in July. "Contrary to what the Democrats believe, the scourge of radical gender ideology is very real, efforts to cover up what’s being done to children are extreme, and the science is on our side."

Cole has been subjected to protests when she attempts to talk about her lived experience, with transgender rights activists at California Polytechnic State University in San Louis Obispo holding a sexualized pop-up Drag Show to protest her appearance at the school at a Turning Point USA event in December.

Cole has also been censored on Instagram, with the platform stating in September that her account depicted "violence."
