"She placed our officers in danger," said ICE Deputy Field Officer Director Julio Hernandez.
The agitator, who had been recklessly driving through the neighborhood to impede ICE operations, was stopped by ICE officials on Thursday afternoon after blowing a red light and nearly colliding with a school bus while trailing federal vehicles, which she attempted to box in multiple times with her Mustang. The Post Millennial captured the incident during an exclusive ride-along with the ICE Seattle Field Office's Portland branch.
ICE Deputy Field Officer Director Julio Hernandez, speaking to The Post Millennial, confirmed the referral to HSI for potential criminal prosecution. “She placed our officers in danger. She blocked in our vehicles several times. We gave her multiple warnings to leave the area. This time, enough was enough,” Hernandez stated firmly, emphasizing reckless behavior that included agitators posted up throughout the gang-ridden neighborhood acting as “spotters,” who used vehicles, whistles, and horns to alert illegal immigrants to ICE activity.
The activist, who earlier in the day was filmed flipping off ICE agents, blaring her car horn, and mocking DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, pleaded for leniency during the stop, claiming she was “just a mom” after her vehicle was surrounded by federal agents. She was threatened with arrest but was ultimately let go after Hernandez made it clear to the driver that he would refer the case for prosecution.
"Like [Secretary Noem] said, enough is enough, we're drawing the line, and that's what we did now," Hernandez told TPM during the ride-along, just moments after confronting the agitator. "We have her information. We're going to refer the case over to Homeland Security Investigations and the US Attorney's Office."
This incident unfolded during intensified ICE activity in Portland, where agents on Thursday conducted multiple high-risk arrests targeting gang-affiliated illegal immigrants. Just hours before the traffic stop, ICE Special Response Team (SRT) officers pursued and apprehended a previously deported subject who crashed his vehicle and fled on foot through dense woods, evading capture only briefly before being taken into custody.
Several other operations captured on camera by The Post Millennial showed agents detaining immigrant suspects during traffic stops in a neighborhood plagued by foreign gang activity, according to ICE, which underscores the targeted nature of these enforcement actions. Some of the targeted arrests occurred while protesters were actively disrupting and impeding operations.
Despite the challenges in the field, ICE agents and their federal law enforcement partners loaded a transport van with immigrant detainees, who were then shuttled to the detention area inside the South Portland ICE facility, which has been the site of constant ongoing demonstrations since June 7, when Antifa-affiliated individuals set up a 24-hour occupation.
The Portland operations are part of a nationwide surge in deportations under the Trump administration's renewed focus on border security and immigration enforcement in the interior. The White House has specifically targeted Portland with increased immigration enforcement actions due to the city's sanctuary status, as well as the sustained attacks on the ICE facility. ICE officials told The Post Millennial that sanctuary policies act as a safe haven for criminal illegal immigrants, which harms American citizens.
Immigration enforcement operations are expected to continue in the area, ICE said.

Nearly 3/4 of those arrested by ICE have no criminal record. This is clearly NOT a "targeted" at gangs. Since when is repeating government employees' claims as fact considered independent journalism? Have you taken any steps to verify those "targeted" claims? How do you know the individual arrested you claim was gang related was in fact gang related. You assumed it because a fed told you so? How is that journalism?
