Government-funded agency says Canadians really want internet censorship

A federally-funded agency has said that Canadians truly want internet censorship, according to Blacklock's Reporter.

They came to this conclusion after polling the public in a survey whether they should ban hate speech. In Canada, hate speech has been banned since the 1970s.

It is worth noting that the survey did not ask Canadians whether Trudeau's new censorship bill was necessary.

Instead, the survey asked whether Canadians were worried about "the spread of hate speech online" and "the rise of right-wing extremism and terrorism." Again, all this has been illegal in Canada for some time.

Despite this, the agency drew the conclusion that the "majority of Canadians and people want legislation to combat serious forms of harmful online content."

Having said this, the Ministry of Heritage admitted last year that they did not receive a single letter in support of their internet censorship.

The survey interviewed 2,000 Canadians online. It also did not tell the participants that hate speech, alongside other serious offences, was already outlawed in Canada.

The agency that conducted the survey has since denied that they were cooperating in any way with the Trudeau government. When asked if there was any collaboration with this survey, a spokesperson said "no, it was not."
