Doug Ford and his Progressive Conservative Party have won the Ontario election.
On Thursday, voters across Ontario came out to vote in the 2022 provincial election.
A source has confirmed with the Post Millennial that Doug Ford and his Progressive Conservative Party have come out on top.
Polls closed at 9 pm across the province, and it didn't take long before Ford took a commanding lead against his opponents Andrea Horwath, Steven Del Duca, and Mike Screiner, who lead the NDP, Liberals, and Greens, respectively.
All leaders won their home ridings, except Del Duca, who failed to do so for the second time in a row.
With his victory, Ford and the PC form their second majority government in as many elections, however they managed to secure even more seats this time around compared with 2018.
The NDP have retained their position as the official opposition.
The results are in line with polls conducted over the past few months, all of which showed Ford coming out on top amongst Ontarians.
