Comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan expressed excitement on Saturday's episode of his popular podcast about Tesla CEO Elon Musk's plan to buy Twitter.

Rogan was dressed in a wig for the episode, which had fellow comedian Duncan Trussell, host of the "Duncan Trussell Family Hour" podcast, appearing as a guest. The room was lit by several candles surrounding Rogan as he spoke.
"You have to understand, and we all do, somewhere," said Rogan at the beginning of the segment on leadership. "But, you're alive in the middle of this experience, and it's playing out, where no one feels comfortable, no one understands what's happening, no one knows what life is, no one, not a single person."
"And yet, we're all calling upon other people for guidance, and leadership, and support," continued Rogan, then bringing up Musk specifically.
"We look to powerful leaders," Rogan went on, explaining: "That's why, me included, everyone is so excited that Musk is trying to buy Twitter."
Musk, now one of Twitter's largest shareholders, has been the darling of free speech activists and an adversary of liberal censors since he offered to buy the company in a planned takeover of the social media behemoth.
Rogan went on, saying, "We're like, 'Yes! The great one!' He's the super intelligent leader-type character that seems to have great ethics and morals too."
Rogan mentioned that this is a stereotype used a lot in movies:
"And he seems to be like a guy, like, if you had a movie character, and the movie character was like this super billionaire who didn't give a f*ck, but he was super f*cking smart, and he was really genuinely working to save humanity.
"That's that guy," Rogan concluded.
