Vice President Kamala Harris paid Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions $1 million after a town hall produced by the copmany. Oprah also endorsed Harris. Harris finished her campaign $20 million in debt even though they had raised $1 billion in only 107 days.

The Harris campaign gave the $1 million to Winfrey’s company on Oct. 15, the Washington Examiner reported, after the author and talk show host headlined a September town hall with Harris that included other celebrities. In an interview with Winfrey, Harris declared how she would deal with any intruder who broke into her house: “they gettin’ shot.”

Winfrey was also a special guest at Harris’ glitzy get-out-the-vote rally in Philadelphia on Nov. 4, just one day prior to Election Day. Winfrey offered a hearty endorsement of Harris saying, "We’re voting for values and integrity," Winfrey told the crowd in Philly. "We’re voting for healing over hate."

Oprah denied the allegation that she was paid for her endorsement, telling TMZ that it was "not true."

Harris also paid an alleged six figures to construct a set for her appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast with host Alex Cooper, the Examiner noted. The Democrat presidential nominee also spent $20 million on some last-minute election events in battleground states, Fox News noted.

Harris lost every swing state to former President Donald Trump, despite her rallies and celebrity endorsement. Jon Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga all turned out for Harris.

"Money can’t buy you love or a good candidate," Republican political strategist Brad Todd told the Examiner.

"Advertising is a pretty important source of information for swing voters," Todd told the outlet. "It no doubt matters, but it’s not enough. It doesn’t matter if you have the wrong message and it’s not delivered in a compelling way. What her campaign was missing was any effort to break with the unpopular administration she has been a part of."
