At an Oprah Winfrey town hall on Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris urged Americans to take action against "misinformation" by talking with "friends and neighbors" about "where and how" it can be spread. The event was packed full of Hollywood elitists listening to the Democratic nominee make a pitch as to why she should be elected president in November over former President Donald Trump.

The vice president's comments come after the Harris campaign was accused of "repeatedly deceiving and misleading" voters by spreading blatantly false information on the candidate's official campaign accounts. CNN released a fact check on the matter.

"It's very important that we all speak to our friends and our neighbors about misinformation and help them now see how it occurs, where it is occurring," said Harris, answering a question from actress Meryl Streep who attended the town hall via video stream.

The event also featured actors and singers including Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, Bryan Cranston, and Tracee Ellis Ross.

It appears that the Harris campaign has implemented a campaign strategy of approaching strangers in public to engage in political discourse. Gov. Tim Walz, the vice president's running mate, recently urged Democratic voters to have "hard conversations" about politics with strangers at the grocery store.

"This thing's going to be a battle," Walz said.

Conservatives, on the other hand, derided his remarks, claiming that it is probably not the ideal campaign strategy for the duo because inflation is one of the most important topics Americans are voting on in this election, and Harris is a member of the administration that caused it.
