"I think she’s done an incredible job leading Turning Point, leading young women and really leading an alternative for young Americans."
“I really respect Erika for all that she’s done, especially with creating a halftime show for America. You know, children are young, they’re impressionable,” Gracie Hunt shared on The Will Cain Show.
“Young women, young men and everyone, they just need someone to look up to," she added. “As someone who doesn’t yet have young children of my own, I can’t imagine how difficult that is to navigate. But I think she’s done an incredible job leading Turning Point, leading young women and really leading an alternative for young Americans. Football’s becoming the world sport, but, at its heart, it’s America’s sport built around family."
She shared that she is "most definitely" looking forward to the alternate halftime show. She also suggested that a country star such as Jason Aldean would be a good person to perform.
"When my grandfather named the Super Bowl, he intended it to be something children and families of all ages could come together and watch and really believed that the game should come first, that football is the attraction and that it didn’t need to compromise its character or rely on cheap appeal to draw an audience, especially when that approach can alienate so much of the fan base," she later said.
Earlier this year, the NFL announced that woke rapper and artist Bad Bunny would be performing for the Super Bowl halftime show. During his 2025 tour, the rapper said that he was not going to perform in the US, and cited Trump's immigration policies as the reason. That, however, is not a good enough reason for him to give up performing and being paid to do the Super Bowl halftime show in February. He has also demanded that Americans learn Spanish before his performance.
After his performance was scheduled, TPUSA announced that they would be hosting an alternate "All American Halftime Show" for the Superbowl this year.
