Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick are the latest celebrities to throw their support behind  the right of adult males to dress as hyper-sexualised parodies of womanhood and perform for children in a cringe-inducing social media post.

In the video, Bacon and Sedgwick are gyrating to music while wearing t-shirts with the message, “Drag is an art form. Drag is a right.” The accompanying caption declares that drag bans are “bad karma,” and calls for fans to donate to the ACLU’s Drag Defense Fund.

The ACLU’s Drag Defence Fund supports the once-great civil rights organization’s legal battle not only to ensure that scantily-clad men wearing fake breasts get to cavort in front of American children, but also to their other legal campaigns which include fighting to make sure vulnerable teenagers have access to experimental sex changes, efforts to keep pornographic books on school library shelves, and the destruction of sports categories for women and girls.

“Drag performance has always been a hallmark of the queer community, allowing members to express themselves openly and joyously,” reads the Drag Defense Fund page.

“But in the past few months, dozens of bills have also been introduced in states around the country that restrict how and where drag queens can perform.”

What the page does not say is that such bills are aimed at restricting drag performances in the presence of children.

“These bills censor a fundamental human right to freedom of expression and attempt to remove LGBTQ people from public life,” claims the ACLU.

The replies to Bacon’s viral tweet were flooded with Twitter users attempting to explain that no one is objecting to drag as an art form, only to drag being performed in the presence of children.

"No one is protesting drag queens. They are protesting the sexual indoctrination of children and the normalization of child grooming tactics," tweeted Drea Humphrey of Rebel News.

"You just publicly out yourself on the wrong side of history with this dumb dance and many in the LGBTQ+ community would agree."

“Not smart. I’m a black woman and find drag as offensive as blackface. Add in exposure of sexualised behaviour to kids, and it’s grooming,” said Dr. Dina McMillan. “Are you really that out of touch with reality? I’d be happy to send you photos of twerking, flashing drag artists writhing at small children.”

"Please help Kevin Bacon in understanding that drag is not for kids. Drag queens are not under attack. Children are," tweeted Gays Against Groomers.
