On Tuesday, President Joe Biden formally announced his re-election bid, asking voters join him to "finish the job," and saying that "MAGA extremists are lining up" to eliminate freedoms.
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene issued a tweet in response to Biden’s announcement, stating, "Joe Biden is running to stop Extreme MAGA Republicans, so let’s define what extreme MAGA Republican policies are."
"Extremely secure borders. Extremely low crime. Extremely good education for our kids. Extremely good economy. Extremely strong dollar," Greene began.
"Extremely America First energy and extremely low energy prices. Extremely low foreign aid, as in none. Extremely affordable food and cost of living. Extremely pushing for world peace with an extremely strong military.
"Extremely supports only two genders because we extremely support the truth. Extremely protecting biological girls and women’s rights including women’s sports and Title IX. Extremely protecting American’s rights and freedoms such as free speech and our 2A. Extremely draining the swamp, extremely destroying the deep state, and extremely opposing globalists," she continued.
Greene concluded by saying "Extreme MAGA Republicans will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" which "will make Americans extremely free, extremely wealthy, and extremely happy!"
Biden’s tenure as President has seen record-high inflation, sky-high illegal immigration along the southern border, the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan which saw 13 American servicemembers killed, and endless streams of funding going towards the war in Ukraine. Biden has also declared that there's no difference between gender identity and biological sex, and encouraged American parents to gender transition their children. "Affirm your kids," he told parents during his first year in office.
Biden urged the American public to let him get the job done in a second term in office.
Biden's video launch of his re-election bid took aim at "MAGA extremists," with Biden stating that the group is "lining up" to take out personal freedoms of Americans.
"Freedom. Personal freedom is fundamental to who we are as Americans. That’s been the work of my first term, to fight for our democracy. To protect our rights and make sure that everyone in this country is treated equally and that everyone is given a fair shot and make it" Biden said, as selective footage of the January 6 Capitol riots played.
Thousands of hours of surveillance footage are still awaiting view by the public.
"But you know, around the country MAGA extremists are lining up to take on those bedrock freedoms. Cutting Social Security that you paid your entire life while cutting taxes for the very wealthy. Dictating what health care decisions women can make, banning books, and telling people who they can love, all while making it more difficult for you to be able to vote," he said, speaking over images of Greene, former president Donald Trump, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Nearly half of American Democrats have said they'd prefer that Biden not run, though his running mate, Kamala Harris, is also not a favorite among voters.
