BREAKING: Trump’s Georgia trial will be televised

This is another example of his Georgia case being different from the rest. According to Forbes, the Manhattan Criminal Court, nor the federal courts in Washington DC and Florida where the former president is set to face trial allow cameras.

The Fulton County case was also the first time that the former president was forced to take a mugshot after turning himself in at the Fulton County Jail on August 24th. The picture was later released to the public that evening.

Former President Trump pleaded "not guilty" on Thursday after he opted out of his arraignment for charges brought against him by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis last week.

Trump said in a statement to Judge Scott, "I understand I have the right to appear personally at my arraignment, and that I have the right to have the Indictment read to me in open court." He continued, "I have discussed the charges in the Indictment and this Waiver of Appearance at Arraignment with my attorney Steven H. Sadow, and I fully understand the nature of the offenses charged and my right to appear at arraignment."

The former president and 18 of his associates were charged with violations of the Georgia RICO Act, Solicitation of oath by a public officer, false statements and writings, impersonating a public officer, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, forgery in the first degree, conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree, conspiracy to commit false statements and writings, criminal attempt to commit filing false documents, conspiracy to commit filing false documents, criminal attempt to commit influencing witnesses, influencing witnesses, conspiracy to commit election fraud, conspiracy to commit computer theft, conspiracy to commit computer trespass, conspiracy to commit computer invasion of privacy, conspiracy to defraud the state, and perjury.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
