In his first sit-down interview following the mistrial in the case against Lindsay Clancy, Catholic holdout juror Michael Desronvil said he thought the Massachusetts mother had been “methodical” in the “execution” of her three children.
Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany asked Desronvil if there was a piece of evidence that stood out as a game changer in deliberations. Desronvil replied, “How methodical I thought Lindsay was in the execution of her children. So that was really big for me. From watching the video and also listening in the courtroom the, you know, the thought process that goes behind and to fulfill the commitment of doing that. I thought it was … logical.”

View on XDesronvil, who comes from a Haitian immigrant family, was the only juror who wanted to find Clancy guilty of killing her three children in the late summer trial. After over 30 hours of deliberation, he held out, resulting in a hung jury. The other jurors wanted to find Clancy not guilty for reason of insanity. Clancy’s defense had argued that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis when she killed her three young children.
In the interview with McEnany, they visited a local playground dedicated to Clancy’s children. Desronvil has repeatedly stated that the focus should be on those young lives lost. He told McEnany that he has a daughter who is the same age as Clancy’s oldest was when she was killed.
“I have a daughter myself that’s 5 years old,” he said. “So seeing these three kids- it’s emotional. You can see the innocence, the pure joy in them. It’s hard to just take that away.”
