NYT says Biden swearing at Doocy was ‘feel-good moment’

"But the spectacle of Mr. Biden lobbing an unintentionally amplified expletive at Peter Doocy, the fresh-faced Fox News reporter and a regular foil, also turned out to be one of the most unlikely feel-good moments of his time in office," wrote The New York Times media corerspondent Michael M. Grynbaum, who also described the televised incident as "a heartwarming civic moment."

Grynbaum continued on to note that "it's never a good thing for democratic discourse when the most powerful man in the country insults a reporter for doing his job" mentioning former President Donald Trump, noting that children probably should not hear the vulgar language, and that expetive-filled language is "helping to fuel what sometimes feels like a hopeless partisan divide."

"But what happened afterward was weirdly heartening," he wrote.

"Mr. Doocy, 34, beamed into Fox News from the White House lawn and … laughed about it. 'Nobody is fact-checking yet and said it's not true,' he said with a self-deprecating grin, defying the entreaties of network colleagues like Sean Hannity to indulge in a Biden-bashing victory lap," he continued.

Grynbaum continued to state that Biden did something "that his predecessor, Mr. Trump, never seemed to contemplate after one of his tirades against the press."

"He said, 'It's nothing personal, pal,' Mr. Doocy said of the call from Mr. Biden, which arrived within an hour of the president's uncouth remark. 'We were talking about just, kind of, moving forward,'" Grynbaum wrote in the piece.

What the New York Times article did not mention though was other recent events regarding outbursts from the current commander-in-chief.

Just days before the "son of a b*tch" comment, Biden said "what a stupid question" in response to Jacqui Heinrich of Fox News asking about Vladimir Puti, and the tensions rising between Russia and Ukraine.

The day prior, Biden snapped at RealClearPolitics reporter Philip Wegmann for questioning comments that Biden made at an event in Georgia regarding "voting rights" legislation, according to RedState.

"You campaigned and you ran on a return to civility. And I know that you dispute the characterization that you called folks who would oppose those voting bills as being Bull Connor or George Wallace, but you said that they would be sort of in the same camp," said Wegmann.

"No, I didn't say this. Look what I said," Biden shouted. "Go back and read what I said and tell me if you think I called anyone who voted on the side of the position taken by Bull Connor that they were Bull Connor. That was interesting reading of English. You I assume you got into into journalism because you like to write."
