Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. put primary rival Joe Biden on blast for his plot to hand over deadly cluster bombs to Ukraine, correctly noting that the White House had previously insisted the use of such weapons would constitute a ‘war crime.’
“Last year, WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki called the use of cluster bombs a ‘war crime.’ Now President Biden plans to send them to Ukraine,” the Democratic presidential candidate posted online. “Stop the ceaseless escalation! It is time for peace.”

“What happened to his conscience?” Kennedy asked.
Many oppose the use of cluster bombs on the grounds that the objects spell incredible levels of danger for innocent civilians. Human Rights Watch has called on world leaders to not deliver such weapons to Ukraine or Russia for this exact reason, as has the nation of Germany.
“Cluster bombs are munitions so horrific for civilians that more than a hundred nations have signed an international treaty banning them,” Kennedy stated on Twitter. He further noted that these “munitions scatter bomblets across the landscape,” often failing to explode until children come across the objects later on.
Nevertheless, the Biden administration has revealed it will be gifting M864 155-millimeter artillery shells to Ukraine.
In spite of being considered a longshot candidate by some, Kennedy has done well in numerous election-related polling metrics. A recent survey by Rassmussen found that 35 percent of Democrats believe Kennedy will defeat Joe Biden in the party’s primary, while another poll from YouGov concluded that he ranks the highest in favorability when compared with all current presidential candidates, including those on the other side of the aisle.
