The Secretary of State's office in Georgia revealed that more than 2,700 uncounted votes have been discovered on a Fayette County memory card.

The amount of people checked into vote was higher than the number of total votes reported on Election Day, explained the Secretary of State's voting system implementation manager Gabriel Sterling.
Last week's hand-counting audit confirmed suspicions, the election official explained to 11Alive. "Because of the audit, we found this,” Sterling said. “They didn’t do the reconciliation process properly.”
"We did have an issue with a scanner at the polling location where the undercount occurred. That will be the starting point for our investigation. As of now, we believe it was a technical issue caused by human error," Melanie Conrad with the Floyd County board of elections wrote in a statement released to FOX 5 News.
The breakdown provided a net gain of over 400 votes for President Donald Trump—with 1,577 votes going to him and 1,128 going to Democratic challenger Joe Biden—plus a few dozen for Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen and write-in candidates.

This situation differed from the incident reported Tuesday night in Floyd County, Sterling continued, because those early voting ballots were left uncounted in a box left off to the side. In this instance, the votes were scanned and tallied, but stored on a memory card that was not uploaded into Fayette County's total.
Through the recount process, election officials were able to count the exact number of ballots submitted in Fayette County, realizing that there were 2,755 more votes than originally cited.
Sterling stated that Fayette County, like Floyd County, will now be able to revise its total and re-certify its election results. This is an example of the audit process working as intended, Sterling framed, to uncover and fix small discrepancies.
There may be a missing memory card in Walton County—with an estimated 244 votes stored—that they're working to confirm as well, Sterling added.
As of Tuesday, 4.7 million out of 5 million votes cast have been audited so far. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger plans to certify the election Friday, a date set in state law 17 days after Election Day.
