Jack Osbourne, the son of famed rock star Ozzy Osbourne, has put to rest longstanding rumors of his father’s alleged ties to the occult and Satanism. In a recent podcast appearance, he said his father "was a believer in Christ" and wore a cross every day.

When asked about his father’s involvement in such practices, Osbourne said, "I’ve never seen it… nothing evil was ever in our household in that capacity." He later added, "my dad was a believer in Christ, he had a Bible, like, yes. Wore a cross every day of his life."

He said his father "got a lot of frustration about it, because he’s like, people are saying I’m this thing and I’m not this thing. That’s why you cannot f*cking ever trust the news, right? The news declared, you know, it would be all over CN or news stations, oh, Ozzy’s a Satanist who’s gonna do all this stuff, because, you know, if you see this part in a song, it could be this and that."

Ozzy Osbourne died in July, just weeks after his star-studded farewell show, at the age of 76. The heavy metal pioneer had suffered from Parkinson’s disease as well as other health issues.

Dylan Novak, known as the "Celebrity Evangelist," spoke with CBN in the wake of Osbourne’s passing about a 2023 encounter with the rock legend. He said that during an event in Philadelphia, he presented Osbourne with a personalized New Living Translation Bible.

Novak said Osbourne was "incredibly kind," recounting, "He immediately grabbed it and he went right to the Gospels, just kind of thumbing through it. And he looked up at me and he said, ‘Well, I can understand this.’"

He said he also spoke with Jack Osbourne for around 30 minutes, who told Novak, "Thank you for not thinking dad’s evil." The two caught up a few weeks later, where Novak recounted Jack Osbourne telling him, 'You’re the one who gave dad the Bible, right?' I said, 'Yep that was me.' He said, ‘Can I just tell you — you have no idea how much dad loved that.'" Novak said Osbourne told him his father kept the Bible on his nightstand and showed it to people who came over."
