"I understand being angry/unsatisfied, but at least get behind someone competent and not some serial scammer without a soul or moral compass. F*ck this guy already."
"Anyone who votes for, or endorses Spencer Prattfall for Mayor of LA needs to get their head out of their ass. I understand being angry/unsatisfied, but at least get behind someone competent and not some serial scammer without a soul or moral compass. F*ck this guy already," Carey wrote in a post to Threads.

The post from Carey comes after Pratt has become a serious contender in the race and could unseat incumbent Mayor Karen Bass. Pratt's political ad campaigns have been going viral consistently. TMZ founder Harvey Levin has said that he believes Pratt will win the primary against Bass, but would lose in a general election.
Pratt responded to the post from Carey, "Isn't it weird how the two comedians histrionically lashing out against me are both in the 'Epstein files'? What are the odds?"
Carey's post got both backlash and support on the platform. One user said in response, "So you’re gonna vote for [Bass] again who has literally destroyed the city." Another replied, "Karen is competent? She let 25,000 homes burn down and didn’t listen to warnings from aids."
A user who agreed with the take from Carey said, "Being angry at the system is valid. But backing Spencer Pratt for Mayor of LA is not some anti-establishment genius move. The guy is a serial scammer with zero moral compass."
According to a recent Cygnal poll, Pratt is closing in on Bass. In a head-to-head match-up, Bass leads Pratt with 47 to 33 percent of the vote with 20 percent undecided. However, on the ballot with Pratt, Nithya Raman, as well as Bass, he has 22 percent to Bass' 25 percent. Raman pulled 18 percent of the support in the survey. The poll was conducted May 15 through 18 with 500 likely voters.
