People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is asking baseball authorities to stop using the word "bullpen" for the staging area used by players, since it brings up images of animal cruelty.

PETA's suggestion was to change the term, which has been used for almost a century and a half, to "Arm Barn," to avoid using the same term as that of the area where they keep bulls who are about to be slaughtered.

According to Fox News, PETA's Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said.

"Words matter, and baseball 'bullpens' devalue talented players and mock the misery of sensitive animals. PETA encourages Major League Baseball coaches, announcers, players, and fans to changeup their language and embrace the 'arm barn' instead."

This World Series, the Atlanta Braves are squaring off on home turf against the Houston Astros. The fact that the games are taking place in Atlanta is, in and of itself, a bit ironic. This is because the 2021 All-Star game was moved from Atlanta by the league in Apr. 2021 in protest over voting reform legislation which had just taken place previously.

Wide speculation also exists as to whether further chant's of "Let's go Brandon" or similar will be erupting during this series.
