The FBI stated on Friday that it had "developed new information regarding the pipe bombs" which were found on Jan. 6, the day of the Capitol riot.

Investigations revealed that a suspect, who has yet to be publicly identified, took a homemade explosive device out of his backpack and placed it at the Republican National Committee headquarters, and another one at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at approximately 7:30 to 8:30 pm on Jan. 5.

According to the Washington Examiner, the suspect is described as a man wearing a face mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and Nike Air Max shows with a yellow gray and black color scheme.

The FBI has also said the award for information leading to the capture and arrest of the suspect has been increased to $100,000, up from the previous offer of $50,000 and followed by another increase of $75,000k.

"We are closely looking at evidence related to the sedition charges. I think the results will bear fruit very soon," commented Michael Sherwin, acting U.S. attorney for Washington DC.

Live video from security cameras have been published by the Washington Post. Those with any information concerning these incidents are asked to contact the FBI's toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), or submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov.
