Police arrest woman suspected of knocking two officers unconscious at RIDE stop

Police say that at 10:55 pm, the woman injured two officers after speeding through the RIDE queue, causing both officer to lose consciousness.

Hamilton police say that the 19-year-old woman who allegedly struck two Hamilton police officers while fleeing a RIDE check has been taken into custody.

Police say that at 10:55 pm, the woman injured two officers after speeding through the RIDE queue, causing both officer to lose consciousness.

According to CP24, the vehicle was found unoccupied in the Belair Drive and Inverness avenue area shortly thereafter.

19-year-old Hannah Pietrantuono was wanted in connection with the incident. On Thursday afternoon, the Hamilton resident reportedly surrendered to officers.

Pietrantuono faces the following charges: Criminal negligence cause bodily harm (x2), Failure to stop after accident causing bodily harm, Fail to comply with probation (x2), Impaired operation, Dangerous operation, Flight from peace officer, Failure to stop after accident, and Resisting arrest.
