Portland police have cleared an Antifa encampment near the city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility following viral footage showing militants blocking roads and directing traffic.

Independent journalist Nick Shirley posted a video on X showing the aftermath of the sweep, with streets left empty and numerous supplies abandoned. Items seen in the footage included medical equipment, food, boxes of masks, water bottles, and other materials used by the group.

“After 140 days of controlling and camping on this street in Portland, ANTIFA has officially been cleared out as the police FINALLY stepped in and cleared the encampment,” Shirley posted on X. “Inside the encampment they had loads full of medicine, medical gear, party supplies, a fridge, bbq, etc… ANTIFAs 140 days of control has officially come to an end.”

“We will see how long this last but impressive work as patriots showed up in the hundreds over the past few days and outnumbered ANTIFA and the police finally stepped in,” he added.

Additionally, footage posted by journalist Cam Higby showed police moving in to the Antifa camp and tearing down tents that had been established.

The clearance marks a sharp contrast to the scenes seen earlier in the week, when viral video showed Antifa militants taking over streets and directing traffic near the ICE facility. One video posted by Shirley showed a road completely blocked off as individuals directed vehicles.

Last Saturday afternoon, tensions flared again outside the ICE facility as anti-ICE protesters clashed with federal officers. The Portland Police Bureau confirmed two arrests were made.

According to the bureau, one protester was taken into custody after crossing a restricted line marked by a blue stripe near the ICE facility entrance. Officers pulled her inside the gate as protesters shouted, and officers deployed pepper spray. Counterprotesters also appeared at the site during the confrontation.

"PPB has arrested two people for crimes committed today. I do not have names or charges yet. The officers haven’t even transported them back to the precinct yet, so it will be a while,"  a Portland Police Bureau spokesperson told Fox News. "As we have every night for many weeks, PPB continues to monitor the area for criminal behavior."

How much of this was due to the patriots, how much due to police and how much due to rain? ANTIFA’s willpower fades dramatically when the weather gets nasty.
