A peer reviewed case study of a covert pro-pedophilia organization registered as a child protection charity and its connection to academia in the British Journal of Philosophy, Sociology and History (BJPSH), was subsequently removed a day after it was published.
The analysis, written by Dr. Alaric Naude, Head Professor of English at Suwon Science College and author of "The Babylon Cypher," features an organization known as Prostasia, which is registered in the state of California as a child protection charity. Prostasia claims to adopt an alternative approach to combating child sexual abuse. Dr. Naude's analysis of Prostasia illustrates the organization's use of semantics to foster a pro-pedophilia message of health under the pretense and child safety.
BJPSH confirmed they were contacted by Prostasia representatives who demanded the removal of the paper on the grounds that "the paper was defamatory for the company." BJPSH stated "we received an email saying some statements were not true, policy at the journal, is to avoid such issues." They did not specify which statements were alleged to be defamatory.
An academic paper is normally retracted if serious problems with data are flagged, because such anomalies can expose a range of issues in methodology and data. Yet Naude has confidence in the validity of his work, which is full of examples and citations that carefully unfold his claims.
Even so, BJPSH made no effort to substantiate their position to retract the paper, and blocked Naude’s ability to correct any misconceptions or inaccuracies, without stipulating if there even were any. When called for comment, the journal refused to provide details of correspondence with Prostasia or confirm there were errors in the paper retracted.
Prostasia has a history of rejecting non-favorable findings, and their influence in eliminating Naude’s paper illustrates the general lesson his case study presents. Prostasia was able to remove the peer-reviewed paper stealthily behind the scenes, enlist the journal to stonewall its author, and remove his ability to defend the work. Pro-pedophilia agencies are good at manipulating others to advance their agenda, they seek immutability in their ideology, and are successful in enlisting academic circles to contribute to their rise.
Prostasia focuses on a very specific group of academics, those who see pedophilia as a multidimensional scale of sexual interest and advocate ideals that move pedophilia closer to legalization. Prostasia advisor and clinical psychologist, James Cantor advocates for the legalization of pedophilia as a civil right, and thinks it should be part of the LGBT etc acronym, saying "Speaking as a gay man, I believe we should include the P [pedophile]. To do otherwise is to betray the principles that give us our rights." Sexual minorities are given civil rights, and legalizing pedophilia as a sexual orientation would grant it various legal protections.
An NIH paper written by Cantor and clinical psychologist, Ray Blanchard, alleges that pedophiles are born, not made. The fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Mannual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) currently maintains that pedophilia is a mental disorder. Blanchard, who writes the criteria for paraphilia in the DSM has tried to change it in the past.
As Naude points out in his paper, pro-pedophilia organizations and academics promote pedophilia as a legitimate form of human sexuality by softening public opinion on deviancy. "The idea that pedophile rights and children’s rights are reconcilable is grossly absurd," says Dr. Naude, "this is an either-or situation, they cannot coexist, and children’s rights must always be protected with the utmost diligence."
Deviancy is rampant among pro-pedophilia organizations. To change policy, Prostasia must first change cultural attitudes and norms around sexuality. They claim children can handle learning about fetishes and kink, and that pornography can have a positive impact on children. Prostasia teaches pedophiles how to avoid getting caught for minor solicitation in chatrooms like those in Roblox, a popular children’s gaming platform.
Child Sexual fantasies relating to children typically occur in the context of secrecy, but social media has changed this, enabling pro-pedophilia social clubs that sell themselves as global intervention initiatives. Prostasia advocates a MAP Support Club, a peer-to-peer social club for "minor attracted persons," or pedophiles, who self-police in their commitment to never harming a child. The support club is promoted as a safe space for pedophiles "in times of trouble." Within these communities people attracted to minors build camaraderie in chat rooms that include children as young as 13 years-of-age. A few years ago, it turned out one of those in the club was busy actively raping kids.
Between these virtual walls there is no policing between the minds of pedophiles, so they are free to impart their fantasies by whatever means available. These fantasies are often packaged and traded as child sexual abuse materials (CSAM), which can include cartoons, videos, games, or stories that depict the exploitation and sexual abuse of children.
A major objective of pro-pedophilia organizations is to influence policy, especially regarding internet governance. They advocate against restrictions for child sexual abuse materials in initiatives cloaked around free speech and anti-censorship. In 2019, Prostasia founder Jeremy Malcolm was a member of the multi-stakeholder advisory group of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum. He petitioned a substitution argument to the UN, proposing to decriminalize obscene images depicting children, a move that would reinforce the United Nations to codify pedophilia normalization.
Carolina Christofoletti, a researcher studying child sexual exploitation materials on dark web forums for the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative says, "The problem with this substitution argument is that it lies on a criminological misperception. CSAM networks are built, among others, around CSAM cartoons," Christofoletti explains, "CSAM cartoons must be criminalized in order to prevent CSAM networks to further grow." Prostasia’s petition did not pass, but there are many who still support it, and there is time.
Pro-pedophilia organizations slip back and forth between the scientific and social, they use clinical and societal language to hide behind fallacies that are obvious to the greater public when they are noticed. They claim their objective is to protect children, although, there is no clear benefit in putting minor children in a room to forge contact with pedophiles, and under no circumstance should this ever be done.
Society has experimented with this evil before, like the time orphaned boys were placed under the guardianship of pedophiles in 1970s West Germany. Or when the "father of sexual liberation," Alfred Kinsey, researched child sexuality by placing children in rooms with known pedophiles. Over 300 children formed the basis of Kinsey’s molestation experiments in child sexuality, the youngest subject was only 2 months old. Intellectuals who advance pro-pedophilia policy are seduced by their own intellectual ideals, and do not concern themselves with any of the risks involved in using children to experiment with their ideologies.
Academia has a long history of defending pedophilia, despite the overwhelming evidence that sexual fantasy plays an integral role in the development of behaviors that lead to child sexual abuse. Pro-pedophilia academics and institutions work towards an ideological circle of power, hidden behind superficial scientific ideologies and cracked certainties. Deception is a cooperative act because it needs and seeks public consent. Society protects itself and its children when it refuses to collaborate in the manipulations put before them, and actively works against the falsehoods that further pedophilia and child sexual abuse.
