The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has sent out a second email asking federal workers what they got done during the week, and a response is due on Monday by 11:59 pm as well as every Monday after that each week.

According to Fox News, the email was sent by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to federal employees with the subject line, "What did you do last week? Part II," in reference to the first email asking for five bullet points from each federal worker.

The second memo differed from the last email in that it reportedly instructed employees to describe their accomplishments each week by email in a similar five-bullet-point format. The first email appeared to be a one-off message; however, the message instructed that the replies be sent by the deadline each Monday.

In addition to this, other instruction was given to not send any classified material. If workers were only working on tasks concerning classified material, they are to write, "All of my activities are sensitive."

"The President has made it clear that this is mandatory for the executive branch," Elon Musk wrote on X. "Anyone working on classified or other sensitive matters is still required to respond if they receive the email, but can simply reply that their work is sensitive."

Musk described the first email sent out by DOGE as a "pulse check" on federal workers. "I think that email was perhaps interpreted as a performance review, but actually it was a pulse check review. Do you have a pulse?" Musk commented at the time. "And if you have a pulse and two neurons, you could reply to an email."
