Actress Selma Blair was arrested following a JFK-bound flight during which she allegedly punched a Delta flight attendant and bit a passenger after she was prevented from opening the plane door mid-flight. After landing in Queens, she was sent to a local hospital for an evaluation, the Port Authority Police Department said. The FBI is investigating the case.

Blair, 54, has starred in films such as "Legally Blonde" as well as "Hellboy," and has had some other bizarre behavior in the past. In her 2022 memoir "Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up,” she admitted to biting other actors and actresses, including Kate Moss, Seth MacFarlane, and Sienna Miller.

When the flight landed, according to TMZ, Blair allegedly assaulted a nurse as well as police officer. She has been charged on two counts of assault.

In dispatch audio obtained by the outlet, officials ordered that upon landing a medical team stand ready at the gate to treat minor injuries, including a a bloody nose and bite marks. The audio also noted that Blair hit her head against the bulkhead during the flight.

"Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition," a spokesperson for Blair said. It is not clear what caused the medical emergency.

“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first," Delta said in response to the incident. The outlet reported that this also not the first time Blair has caused a ruckus. Blair was removed from a flight by stretcher in 2016 after an outburst on a previous flight.
