BREAKING: Shooter dead, two injured in Maryland shooting involving Navy officers

While the identity of the shooter has not yet been revealed, police have revealed that he was a 38-year-old Navy hospital corpsman.

A shooter left two people critically injured in Frederick, Maryland on Tuesday morning, NBC News reports.

Officers were called to Riverside Technical Park in Frederick at 8:20 am after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police found two men with gunshot wounds.

The men were taken to Baltimore Shock Trauma to be treated for their wounds. They are reportedly in critical condition.

While the identity of the shooter has not yet been revealed, police have revealed that he was a 38-year-old Navy hospital corpsman.

Following the shooting, the corpsman travelled to the Fort Detrick military base just ten minutes away. He was shot dead at the base, but no other injuries were reported.

More details are expected to be revealed about the shooting during a press conference this afternoon.
