As Toronto's enters Stage 2 of Ontario's regional approach to reopening the province, shopping malls will also reopen as of June 24, according to Blog To.
They will still have to comply with the latest health and safety regulations, physical distancing measure and up their cleaning and sanitization protocols. Some services within the malls will remain closed.
Some stores will be forced to stay closed despite the reopening if they cannot meet the criteria in place for Stage 2 however if that's the case, they will still be able to offer curb-side pickup.
As of June 24, the following shopping malls in Toronto and Mississauga will be open:
- Eaton Centre
- Yorkdale Mall
- Dufferin Mall
- Scarborough Town Centre
- Square One
- Sherway Gardens
- Fairview Mall
Shoppers should check health restrictions and mall websites to make sure they come prepared to comply with directives.
