An announcement will be made by Prime Minister Trudeau regarding the rerouting of some international flights to Toronto, Montreal, Calgary or Vancouver according to CTV News.

Details on the new restrictions are expected to be released at about 1 p.m. ET Monday at a press conference.

On March 13, Federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau noted that specific airports would be dealing with all international flights.

“We believe that this is a precaution that we should take so that we concentrate overseas international passengers coming into Canada to a smaller number of airports and we'll have more details on that very shortly,” he said.

Staff at the Canada Border Services Agency also noted that enhanced screening measures would be added to international airports, such as new screening questions for travelers coming from abroad.

Screenshots of the questions were provided by the CBSA.

The first question is: “Do you currently have a cough, difficulty breathing, or feel you have a fever?”

The other requires confirmation: “I acknowledge that I am/we are being asked to self-isolate for the next 14 days to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.”
