Conservative Shadow Minister of Health Michelle Rempel Garner published a video sharing details on a newly-endorsed petition, which she has dubbed "A Plan For Hope."

The petition, officially called Petition e-3225, calls on the federal government under Justin Trudeau to "Immediately present a clear plan to get Canadians safely out of lockdown... [and] include data-driven goals, a plan of action and a timeline to achieve those goals," as well as to ensure the plan "is articulated to Canadians so that they can have hope about when life and business will return to normal."

The petition can be found at PlanforHope.ca

"A year into the pandemic, tools to prevent spread and reduce serious illness, like rapid tests, data on how COVID-19 spreads, therapeutics, and vaccines, are available, and being utilized globally, but are not being effectively deployed in Canada," says the petition.

Rempel Garner points to vaccines, therapeutics, and rapid tests as tools Canada could use to start reopening the economy.

"Canadians need hope and a clear, permanent path out of lockdowns to preserve their mental health, and a plan to save their livelihoods while using tools to prevent COVID-19 deaths."

As of the time of publishing, the petition has over 8,000 signatures.
