Andrew Stanton, 38, of Kenosha, repeatedly urged his followers on social media to open fire on ICE agents and sent a series of death threats via text message to a Border Patrol agent .
Stanton pleaded guilty on March 6 to the crime of influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a federal official in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin as part of a plea agreement. He faces up to ten years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a press release.
According to an FBI affidavit, officers became aware of a TikTok post issued on August 29, 2025, where Stanton called for the mass killings of politicians and federal agents. He stated in the post under the username @halfandy1.3, "We're not getting through to them [politicians] with using our words. That's never gonna happen. You have to use bullets."
Stanton published a follow-up video on the same day, which included superimposed text on the screen that read, "I imply the very TRUE statement that a violent state can only be stopped with violence in return. / Also, I think we should be OFFING federal agents / Also, I support 'terrorism' by their standard. Anti imperialist by mine."
Federal law enforcement officers attempted to conduct interviews with Stanton both in-person at his home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and through phone calls. Several attempts were made on September 5, 2025, and September 9, 2025, but officers were unable to reach him.
Stanton continued posting threats to kill those he deemed his political enemies on September 10, 2025. He posted a video stating, "When there are mass shootings, they are successful. People die, and people are terrorized. You can apply that to other people. Federal agents." He issued a follow-up video on the same day, where he stated: "Long day for me, and I'm not necessarily out here to be eloquent. I just want to say one thing. Do more Charlie Kirks. Do a lot more Charlie Kirks."
The following day, on September 11, 2025, the defendant was visited again by federal officers on the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. The attempts to contact him in-person were unsuccessful. A US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) supervisory officer on the task force, identified as Joe, left Stanton a text message requesting to be contacted.
"Hi Andrew, please call me when you have a chance," the CBP officer wrote. Stanton responded, "Go f*ck yourself."
Stanton proceeded to send a wave of threatening messages to the CBP officer between September 11, 2025, and September 12, 2025. These messages included: "Please die. It will help future generations;" "Kill yourself fed;" "Hang yourself in your wife's closet so she discovers your corpse / or maybe one of your kids rooms / you'd be doing them a favor;" "Does that green uniform stain real bad?;" "Let's meet. I'm not big into calling the cops so I'll bring my own form of justice. You've knocked on my door before. You know by address. Let me know your on the way;" "Mr. border patrol with the FBI? I'd like to meet. So we can discuss my mental health;" and "If you're actually a fed, which at this point I'm for sure doubting. I hope its an 'illegal' that drops you, bury you, and piss on your grave. That would be some poetic justice wouldn't it?"
The defendant also sent a meme of Charlie Kirk bleeding out from a gunshot wound to the neck. He wrote in the message: "This should be a lesson on how to deal with fascists. You don't debate them, you delete them." Stanton then posted a TikTok video referencing the interaction with the CBP agent and said, "To the agents on my file: Like I told the last guy, 'Get f*cked pig."
On October 4, Stanton called out the CBP officer in another TikTok video, where he called for the mass killings of ICE agents. "What the f*ck are we even talking about here? If ICE shows up to your neighborhood - I'm sorry, I'm just gonna say it. It's time to start f*cking shooting at them. If they show up to your neighborhood, and I'm talking to you, Border Patrol Officer Joe, it's time we start shooting at y'all," he said.
Stanton was taken into custody by the FBI several days later on charges of threats to assault, kidnap, or kill a United States official. He also repeatedly posted images of weapons and body armor on TikTok, along with threatening messages. His TikTok account has since been banned or deactivated.
Stanton's sentencing has been scheduled for June 18.
